Kloppen volgende stellingen ?

A: Kunstenaars die werken met netwerk en computer-technologie moeten de mogelijkheid hebben hun digitaal gereedschap te tweaken, verbuigen, aan te passen in functie van het artistiek werk dat ze voor ogen staat. 

B: Burgers hebben het recht communicatiemiddelen te kiezen en bouwen die passen bij een open samenleving waar ze deel van uit maken. 

Als we hier met 'ja' op antwoorden, dan roept dat vragen op over de manier waarop technologie georganiseerd is:
Bedienen de commerciële diensten die ons digitale verkeer bepalen ons dan wel naar behoren ? 
Hebben we root-toegang tot de technologie waar we voor betalen? 
Zijn we het eigenlijk wel eens met de TOU voorwaarden die door onze ISP en regeringen gesteld worden, de monitoring van ons internetgebruik, dat we grote bedrijven het recht geven geld te verdienen aan ons dataverkeer?

Of: Moeten we nadenken over alternatieven die beter passen bij een creatief en associatief gebruik van technologie ? Zijn de digitale terreinen geen gemeenschapsgronden waar we als publiek recht op hebben ? 

Wat denkt Karl Marx denken van Google ? Gebruikers bezitten steeds minder de productiemiddelen.
Wat denk Virginia Woolf van het schrijven in andermans digitale kamer ? Filters die voortdurend lezen wat je schrijft.

A feminist review of contempory server technologies
Offensive? Passive? Defensive?
Lots of changes are being set in motion in serverland. Linux is on the rise as the underlying architecture of most stuff that happens on the web, yet that same architecture is being closed off or hidden in lots of   different ways. 
Linux   becomes Android'ised, your kernel is hidden - you cannot be root (very existential). Clouds are being whipped up and sold as a service, running for example on the free software Hadoop framework (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apache_Hadoop). 
For   all matters great or small - there are apps for that. Ready made services are seductive, so will you take the red pill or the blue pill?

More   advanced users are hiding themselves behind encryption, browser plugins, script and other blockers. Building walls around yourself against the potential governmental/commercial/telecom panopticons.
What   makes all these clouds? Can we make our own cloud? What is Android   exactly? Can we regain access to the kernel of our phones with the danger of rendering them unusable?
What is encryption? What exactly do we hide and why?

voorbeeld: We kunnen een filter installeren dat aan alle gmail gebruikers die een mail naar 'constantvzw.org' sturen, een reply stuurt. hierin kun je uitleggen waarom het beter is een associatieve server te gebruiken.
