A cane, sticky notes, another body: (internal) worksession with Kaaitheater and Dr. Guislain museum

This year’s theme focuses on the critical topic of accessibility and its many intersections in the physical and virtual spaces. For the first worksession, Constant will be gathering with two of its partner organisations, Kaaitheater and Dr. Guislain Museum, to examine the different crossings and overlaps in our understanding and efforts around access.

Some of the aspects we will explore are:

  • physical spaces and how to traverse them
  • signage confusion and other forms of institutional navigation
  • How to have different languages and modes of storytelling with their different levels of complexity exist in parallel?
  • AI’s growing role as a shortcut to "solve" readability and access online.
  • A look at our beloved websites and how they operate within certain guidelines on accessibility

We hope that these various attempts will lead to a more detailed understanding of the ways to make access, but also to the introduction of new and necessary reflexes within our institutional practices.

A second public session will took place in Dr Guislain Museum in December 2024. An open call for participation will be published soon on Constant’s website.
